Description:

SL100 is butyl sealant designed for use as the primary moisture barrier in dual sealed insulating glass units. It exhibits low argon permeability, excellent adhesion to glass and aluminum, good compressibility, and inherent moisture vapor resistance.

Applications:

It can be used for the manufacture of insulating glass units. Together with our SL333 two-part polysulphide,  SL 888 two-part silicone sealant or SL 818 two-part non-structural silicone sealant for insulating glass, they form an excellent dual-seal system.

Application Instruction:

Clean and dry adhesion surface to get rid of dirty, oily things. JOINSIL 121 is applied by special hot-melt butyl extrusion machine. The extrusion condition could be satisfied through temperature and pressure adjustment, for example, temperature could be adjusted over the range of 100°C~130°C. The enviroment temperature should not be lower than 10°C in application.
